Since I am back from my holiday I felt like having something healthy.
I had a lot of food during my holiday, part was healthy, but I also ate some guilty pleasures!
I mean, holiday is not a codeword for non-healthy food, but I did not really hold back.
I kind of missed my slowjuicer during the holiday, so I was really happy to start juicing again!
I had a look in the pantry and fridge and there were loads of green ingredients, so I came up with this fresh green juice.
This recipe makes about 900 ml to a litre of juice.
Preparation time: 15 minutes
2 medium green apples
a small cube of ginger root
3 tablespoons of wheat grass powder
Cut the cucumber, courgette and kiwis in rough pieces. You do not need to peel any of those ingredients. Set aside.
Cut out the apple core and chop the apple in to rough cubes. Set aside also.
Chop the ginger root into small pieces and set aside.
Peel the lime, you will use a half one. Cut into rough pieces.
Turn the slowjuicer on and press all the ingredients in to a juice.
Now I poor the juice in to the blender and blend with the wheat grass powder util mixed well.
Is this the first time you use wheat grass powder? I would recommend you to only use 1 or 2 tablespoons. The wheat grass powder has a very specific earthy flavour.
I like this juice the best when served cold.
