This juice has a fresh tropical taste, with a nice balance of sweet, sour and a hint of mint.
I love the colour! And I drank the juice in no time!
Do not forget, despite the vitamine C, there is also a lot of sugar in the juice. I drink this kind of juices once every two weeks.
This recipe makes 1 litre of juice.
Preparation time: 15 minutes
juice of 1 lime
1 stalk of lemongrass
2 large carrots
1 persimmon (kaki fruit)
1 hand of mint leafs
I used a slowjuicer for this recipe, but you can also use a blender. The juice will have a thicker texture, when made in the blender.
Peel the pineapple, cut out the middle and chop in to rough chunks, set aside.
Wash the apples, cut out the core and chop in to rough chunks, set aside.
Wash the carrots and the persimmon (you do not need to peel them) and chop as well, set aside.
The stalk of lemongrass is really tough, make sure you chop this really fine with a sharp knife.
If you are going to blend the juice, you are better off blending the lemongrass separately and sifting it before adding it to the juice. Other wise you will get hard bits in the juice.
Press all the ingredients in the slowjuicer.
Add the mint leafs and lime juice last.
Stir the juice and serve in a glass or keep refrigerated in a glass bottle or jar.
